Ninefall collects nothing.

Last updated 8 September 2026

The short version. Ninefall does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party SDK of any kind. The game makes no network request on its own.

What is collected

Nothing. Not your name, not your email, not an anonymous identifier, not a device fingerprint, not your location, and not usage statistics. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected and the Google Play data safety section says No data collected, because there is genuinely nothing to collect.

Where your progress lives

  • Your progress, streak, statistics and settings are stored on your device.
  • On iPhone and iPad, if iCloud is enabled, that progress syncs through your own private iCloud key-value storage. It sits in your iCloud account, not mine, and I cannot read it.
  • On Android, progress stays on the device.
  • Deleting the app deletes the local data.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the Daily Flip leaderboard and the achievements work through it, and Apple handles your Game Center identity and your scores under Apple's privacy policy. I receive nothing beyond the anonymous leaderboard Apple shows every player. You can turn Game Center off in your device settings and the rest of the game is unaffected.

Purchases

Ninefall is a one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple, or by Google, depending on where you bought it. I never see your payment details. I receive only the aggregate sales reports those stores give every developer, which contain no information that identifies you.

Sharing and board links

When you share a result, a replay or a board, the game hands the text or image to your device's own share sheet. What happens next is between you and the app you choose. Nothing is uploaded to me at any point.

A shared board link such as ninefall.app/p/… carries the puzzle itself inside the link. It is decoded in your browser or in the app, and nothing about who opened it is recorded.

Children

Ninefall is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, children included. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to disclose, request or delete under COPPA, GDPR-K or similar rules.

Your rights

Rights of access, correction, deletion and portability all apply to data a company holds about you. I hold none. If you would like confirmation of that in writing, ask and I will happily provide it.

This website

ninefall.app is a set of static files hosted on Vercel. There are no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. If you pick the Day or Night theme, that choice is stored only in your own browser. Vercel keeps standard server access logs as the infrastructure provider.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date above. If a future version of the game ever collects anything, that change will be described here before it ships.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or about Ninefall in general, are welcome at contact@ninefall.app. Bugs and feature ideas are just as welcome as a GitHub issue, whichever suits you.
